As an NZTA qualified & endorsed Driver Testing Officer (DTO) and also an independent Driving Instructor, I offer a unique learning experience that combines practical knowledge of the Road Code with real-life experiences.
ALL ABOUT ME
I’m Shannon. I live here in Nelson with my wife and 2 daughters. I love all things about fishing. I get out as often as I can. I also enjoy family camping trips and playing squash. When I’m not busy with the family I work at VTNZ as a DTO (driving testing officer). I have been there for 5 years and have conducted over 10000+ driving tests. I have the knowledge and the skill set to help you not only pass your driving test but give you the skill to be a safe driver.
DRIVING LESSONS
I can provide Driving Lessons to suit your individual learning styles for restricted license, full licence, and overseas conversions. A 1 hour lesson is $85. You must have your own car that has current WOF and Registration. You can contact me using the form below or get in touch by email, call or text and we can sort a time that suits.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST Statement:
During my usual workday, my job is to take applicants on their driving tests as a Driver Testing Officer (DTO) in Nelson. I will continue with this role, in addition to being available as an independent Driving Instructor at any time after hours, but preferably at weekends, mornings, evenings

​For disclosure purposes and to avoid any conflict of interest with my current employment, please note I can either TEACH you or TEST you, but I cannot do both for the same person.
This ensures the testing regime is completely above-board and 100% independent and separate to any teaching received from me as an instructor.
